Adding a tyre asset


Let’s try creating a tyre asset in the Marathon company context.  Pick your own site to create it in and then complete the following steps.

  • Select a company
  • Pick a site, your choice
  • Click the ‘Add’  button
  • From the drop down list box select ‘Tyre’

When the ‘Add Tyre’ dialogue box is displayed, add the following data

By default, the serial number automatically populates the asset number.  However the asset number can be modified by clicking on the asset number
  • Serial Number  = your choice  (recommend starting it with ‘TY-‘)
  • Specification = ‘4’ – a dropdown list should appear, select any specification from the list
  • Disposition = ‘Spare’
  • Inspection = 4 (this equates to every four weeks)
  • Press ‘Save’  
  • Confirm that your asset has been created (Tip: if you can’t see it, search for it)
  • Create a second Tyre asset, it will be used in future procedures.
