Adding a Pressure

You can add pressures to both Vehicles and Assemblies

The ‘Add Pressure’ dialogue differs only slightly from vehicles and assemblies.  The only noticeable difference is the addition of positions to the vehicle add pressure dialogue, as shown in the images below.

When you add a consumable, it will be associated with the currently selected position.  Therefore, when you move through the positions, the consumable list will change.

The Add Pressure dialogue allows you to capture the following information.

  • Date of pressure check
  • Whether the tyres are hot or cold
  • PSI reading
  • PSI adjustment
  • Consumables

If you try to add a pressure to a vehicle position that doesn’t have an assembly installed, although the position button will be displayed, you will not be able to select that position.

You will notice that there are two ‘Temperature Type’ entries available on the vehicle add pressure dialogue. The top entry allows the user to default the temperature types for all the positions, while the one below the positions is specific to the selected position. Therefore, if you want all your positions to be cold except one, you would select ‘Cold’ from the top most temperature selection, and change the bottom one to ‘Hot’ for the one position that is different.

Temperature type

As you move through each position entering pressure settings, a visual queue in the form of a ‘tick’ will overlay the position number as shown below.  This tells you that you have entered a pressure entry for that position.

Other visual cues and information are also presented on the dialogue to help you along the way. Information such as the default PSI for the tyre, and it’s last reading and adjustment entries.

Last but not least, keeping track of the consumables on a job is important.  As with pressures, consumables can be added on a per position basis. Remember to add them as you go as you will not be able to add them later.

Alert
Once you save the “Add Pressure” dialogue, you will not be able to add or edit information of that record.  Therefore, it is important that you not only add pressures to all positions but also the consumables used before exiting.

Adding consumables

If consumables are used, you can add consumables by selecting the required consumable from the dropdown list and pressing the button.  Conversely, you can remove consumables added in error by selecting the appropriate consumable and pressing the button
