Archiving a document starts the physical document removal process from all remote mobile devices and stops it from being viewed (except if you have document approval rights).  When a user adds a new version of a document, the system automatically archives the previous version and removes it from the remote mobile devices, replacing it with the new approved version.


To archive a document is simple, however not all users have the privileges to approve documents, so if you don’t see the menu item you don’t have the appropriate rights.


To archive a document, select its edit context menu and click ‘Archive’. A confirmation alert box will be displayed, confirm the selection to archive the document.

Once a document has been archived it can only be reinstated if the new document that took it's placed is un-approved.
