Scrapping tyres in TMaSS is an essential part of the tyres lifecycle workflow. As such, you can scrap a tyre in various ways. These are:
- Directly from a tyre object
- Breaking an assembly (deprecated)
- Scrapping an assembly
- Editing vehicle positions (deprecated)
- Manage Positions
- A vehicle Strip and fit (deprecated)
For the purposes of this procedure we will complete a scrapping of tyre directly from the tyre object. For other tyre scrapping procedure, please follow the appropriate link to a procedure above.
Scrapping a Tyre from a tyre object.
Find the tyre you wish to scrap. You can do this by navigating to the appropriate company, and either searching for the tyre directly using the search box , or by browsing the objects direct.

From the tyre object, select the edit menu and press 'Scrap Tyre'
The 'Scrap Tyre' dialogue will be displayed. From the dropdown list boxes, select the Scrap Reason and Failure mode of the tyre. You can also enter a removal description and change the data if desired.
You can also scrap Tyers that are in use , meaning that they are either a part of a spare assembly or one that's attached to a vehicle position. |
When finished tap save to scrap the tyre and complete the process.
