Dispatching assets allows a user to move an asset between sites and locations while changing the disposition of the asset, assigning a docket number and date to the move. 

NOTE:  You cannot dispatch Vehicle assets. And this function is only available on the Web version.

To dispatch an asset:

1. From the 'Edit' context menu for a selected asset, select the “Dispatch” menu item. 

2. The Dispatch Asset dialogue will be displayed.

• Select the date when the asset was dispatched, by default it will be the current date
• Enter a docket number if required
  
• Select the site and or Location to which the asset will be sent
• Select its disposition
• Enter any notes

3. Press save to dispatch the asset to the new site.
