Overview
Adding multiple assets of the same type in TMaSS is a simple process. The system allows the addition of multiple assets of all asset types. These include:
- Adapter Plates
- Chain
- Rim
- TPMS
- Tyre
- Vehicle
For assets that contain a specification, such as Rims, Tyres and Vehicles, you can only add multiples of the same specification type.
You can find the add 'Multiple Assets' function in the dropdown menu of the 'Add' button as shown below.
As you will see from the following images, each asset type dialogue has a slight variation depending on their requirements. However, The main process of selecting the number of assets and selecting the asset type remains consistent.
Adding multiple assets
When adding multiple assets you choose the following:
- The number of assets
- Where you want them created. (The default is the current site)
- What asset type you want to create
- The specification (where the asset requires a specification)
- The disposition
- The cost
- A purchase order
For assets types such as Rims and Adapter plates, you can also add the following:
- Initial and Post Non-destructive test alert hours
- Initial and Post Non-destructive test alert months
- Previous Non-destructive test documents
For the tyre asset type, you can add the following:
- Tyre fitment classification
If a tyre disposition of 'New is selected, th default of 'Front' will be used. For all other disposition types, front or rear can be selected. If no fitment classification is selected, then 'Front' will be used as default.
For the vehicle asset type, you can add the following:
- Add to fleet
Additionally, asset types of Chain, and Adapter plates allow you to add approved fitment types. Approved fitment types make functions such as Manage Positions easier by filtering the available assets.
